2025 focus targets foster youth and young adults 14-25, including parenting youth

The Distinguished Pearls Foundation, in partnership with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated – Tau Delta Zeta Chapter and the Kappa Community Development Foundation, Inc., reaffirmed a shared commitment to youth in Maryland’s foster care system.

This year, in collaboration with the Youth Experiencing Success (Y.E.S.) Center of Prince George’s County, So Sweet Cases focused on youth and young adults ages 14 to 25, including parenting youth—an often underserved population that faces barriers such as housing instability, educational disruption, and limited access to basic resources.

From April 14 to May 20, 2025, we collected school supplies, toiletry and hygiene items, shelf-stable food and pantry staples, childcare items for youth who are also parents, and motivational and reading materials. Your support enabled us to pack over 100 individual So Sweet Cases, as well as stock the shelves at the YES Center!
