DPF So Sweet Cases help Youth in Foster Care

The Distinguished Pearls Foundation (DPF) is thrilled to launch the So Sweet Case Initiative, in partnership with Comfort Cases to provide needed personal items, stability and support to local children making the traumatic transition into foster care.

Approximately 740 children enter foster care each day, leaving behind their families, their homes and everything familiar to them. DPF aims to raise donations for up to 50 cases to bring stability and comfort to children whose family structures have been destabilized.

And on May 25, during National Foster Care Awareness Month, DPF will host a committed team of volunteers for a pack-out event in Laurel, MD to pack the cases. Each bag will contain personal hygiene items, pajamas, a new warm blanket, and a new stuffed animal to hug.

We invite you, your family, or your organization to join us in spreading the word about this initiative and to consider purchasing one or more cases

The initiative helps DPF raise awareness about foster children’s unique needs, showcase our collective commitment to supporting our community, and celebrate 5 years of dedicated community service in Prince George’s County.
